We have animals ready for adoption to good homes at our location in Perry County. We also have a program (Second Chance Companions of Perry County™) with a local correctional facility where inmates work with our animals. They keep them groomed as well as train them in all the basic commands. Those pets are also available for adoption. We have links to other animal shelters should you like to widen your search.
The Perry County Humane Society, Inc. is concerned for the wellbeing of animals in our area and we work vigorously to protect animals from abuse. Please help us help them and call our abuse hotline if you are aware of situations that might need intervention.
We are an all volunteer organization and would welcome your donations and any support you can provide. We need people to foster animals and / or dontate time for fund raising activities or assisting foster families with feeding and care. We would also gladly accept donations in the form of dog houses, crates, cages, and straw.
